Executive Coaching Explained

What is Executive Coaching?

Executive coaching is a form of professional, one-on-one development and support for executives and high-level managers. It focuses on helping the individual to improve their professional performance and to develop their leadership, communication, and management skills. Other areas can include work-life balance, presence, influence, and more. Executive coaching helps  to sharpen your ability to set objectives, prioritize tasks, manage time more effectively, solve problems, and make decisions in a way that helps you grow as a well-rounded individual – on the job and at home. It also helps you to appreciate your strengths and identify areas in which you can continue to grow.

In addition to personal and business issues, executive coaching encompasses a broad spectrum of issues as well. Coaching has the primary goal of finding areas which are often overlooked or undervalued and developing those areas, which will lead to significant changes in the quality and efficiency of an executive and their business.

As an Executive Coach, we facilitate the discovery of the critical flaws that are hindering a your development. Who is Executive Coaching for?

A company may hire an executive coach to either help improve the performance or behavior of their high level employees or those in leadership positions. Executive coaching has gone from stigma to a badge of honor.  Stigma in that if you needed one, you were inept in some area or areas. If an organization does not include a leader in a coaching program, often the perception that the organization does not consider the leader a high potential or worthwhile to invest in a coaching program for that leader.

In the last decade, people are expressing an interest in coaching as a way to achieve their goals in their careers and organizations. They are making the investment in themselves as they see the value in having a professional come alongside them to help increase their self-awareness of their own thoughts, behaviors, and actions, and the impact on his/her effectiveness across all areas of their professional life.
