To help us have a solid start, here are the terms and conditions to accept with your purchase. Our clients never have to look at these again since we do all we can to ensure your satisfaction—but our lawyer has us submit this to all clients as a point of clarity for you and iRock.
Overview
This Terms & Agreement is a legal document being executed between you and iRock that outlines both your obligations and the company’s. It is important for you and iRock that you are comfortable with these terms.
While it may not be exciting reading, you should read the entire agreement before you sign it. If you do not understand or agree to any part of the agreement, you should not sign this document and instead ask questions before completing it.
iRock’s clients have an excellent record of landing jobs and advancing their careers. However, we offer no guarantees of landing a job or promotion as a result of using our services.
For all services purchased, you acknowledge that this is a collaborative process between you and iRock and agree to perform suggested activities to improve your results. Without your engagement in the process, the results will not be what you would want or desire.
1. Services and Obligations
1.1 Services Provided
The Company provides professional career marketing and coaching services as outlined in your chosen package, including but not limited to résumé writing, LinkedIn profile optimization, career coaching, and interview preparation. Specific inclusions are detailed in the project package description you purchased.
1.2 Collaborative Process
The Client acknowledges the importance of collaboration in achieving optimal results. Client engagement, including timely responses and the provision of requested documents, is critical to project success.
1.3 Limitations of Liability
The Company does not guarantee employment or specific job outcomes. Career advancement is influenced by multiple external factors outside the Company’s control.
2. Work Authorization and Scope
2.1 Authorization to Proceed
By entering this Agreement, the Client authorizes the Company to commence work based on the outlined package.
2.2 Revisions and Deliverables
Each writing project includes one initial draft and one revision. Standard turnaround time for revisions is three (3) business days. Additional revisions or changes beyond the agreed scope are subject to a fee of $200/hour, billed in 15-minute increments.
2.3 Exclusions
Résumé editing does not include rewriting or reformatting unless explicitly included in the package.
2.4 LinkedIn Profile Delivery and Access Policy
At iRock Résumés, LinkedIn profile content is delivered in a customized, easy-to-implement template format. This allows you to update your profile confidently while maintaining full control of your account.
Please note: We do not require or request access to your LinkedIn account.
In alignment with LinkedIn’s User Agreement—specifically Section 8.2 “Don’ts”—using or attempting to access another person’s account, including sharing login credentials, is prohibited. The policy clearly states: “…use or attempt to use another’s account (such as sharing log-in credentials or copying cookies);…”
While this was a service we provided in the past, recent enforcement of this rule has resulted in service providers losing access to their LinkedIn accounts—seriously disrupting their businesses. We want to prohibit this happening to iRock.
To keep things above board and protect both your account and ours, we’ve adapted our process. You'll receive clear instructions and personalized content you can easily upload yourself, and we’re happy to guide you along the way. Thank you for understanding.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Payment Requirements
Payment in full is required prior to the commencement of services unless a pre-approved payment plan is in place. Payment plans must be completed before project work begins.
3.2 Accepted Payment Methods
The Company accepts payments via check, debit cards, credit cards, or PayPal. A $45 fee applies to returned checks.
3.3 Refund Policy
All payments are non-refundable due to the customized nature of our services. Exceptions for cancellations made within 24 hours of initial consultation are subject to a $150 service fee.
4. Project Timelines
4.1 Timeline Initiation
Projects commence upon receipt of all required documents and completion of consultations or questionnaires as outlined in the package purchased.
4.2 Completion Timeframes
Projects are typically completed within 14-30 business days, depending on the package. Clients must engage actively to meet project deadlines.
4.3 Restart Fee
If a project remains inactive for more than 90 days due to Client non-engagement, a $250 restart fee will apply.
5. Client Responsibilities
5.1 Accurate Information
The Client is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all information provided to the Company. We conduct a Quality & Assurance Review at the end of all purchased packages to ensure documents are accurate before final release.
5.2 Timely Feedback
Drafts must be reviewed, and feedback provided within three (3) business days to avoid delays.
5.3 Third-Party Feedback
While feedback is welcomed, excessive input from third parties (e.g., friends, family, or even HR professionals) may result in delays or “analysis paralysis.”
Everyone may have an opinion which can and has caused confusion for clients. We are the experts with the most up-to-date training and thus, we request you trust our expertise and judgement.
The Company advises using and testing the career documents in the job market as the benchmark.
6. Warranty Disclaimer
The Company makes no guarantees regarding job placement, interview invitations, or employment outcomes. Results are influenced by market conditions and the Client’s engagement in the job search process. However, we do offer a 90 day guarantee. See 9.3 below.
7. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
7.1 Ownership
Documents provided by the Company are for Client use only and cannot be shared, sold, or published without explicit permission from the Company.
7.2 Confidentiality
All Client information is confidential and will not be disclosed except as required by law.
7.3 Content Usage Authorization
The Client authorizes the Company to use work created on their behalf for publications, books, websites, lectures, and marketing materials. We will ensure all personally identifiable information is anonymized to protect the privacy of the Client.
By submitting information, the Client grants the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right to use, edit, and publish the content in line with the Company’s Privacy Policy.
The Company may feature career marketing documents and feedback in articles, training materials, or promotions. Identifying details will only be used with the Client’s explicit approval or will otherwise be anonymized in line with the Company’s Privacy Policy.
8. Legal Compliance and Indemnification
8.1 Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, with exclusive jurisdiction in Allen, Texas courts.
8.2 Hold Harmless Agreement
The Client agrees to hold the Company harmless from any claims arising from inaccuracies in information provided by the Client once final documents are released and are outside of the 3 day window for any final edits. On the 4th day after final delivery of documents, the Company Hold Harmless Agreement goes into effect.
9. Additional Terms
9.1 Changes After Finalization
Revisions requested after finalization will incur a fee of $200/hour, billed in 15-minute increments.
9.2 Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for delays caused by events beyond its control, including acts of God, unexpected hospitalization and/or illness, and/or technical issues.
9.3 90-Day Résumé Guarantee
The Company offers one free résumé rewrite if no interviews are secured within 90 days, provided the Client has applied to at least 20 positions and adhered to the Company’s recommendations. This rewrite may include a repositioning, if needed.
9.4 Technological Integration
AI and Data Analytics: Advanced technology is used to optimize résumé keywords and formatting for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), ensuring higher visibility and compatibility during job searches for our clients with the ultimate goal of landing interviews with our proprietary writing and document creation.
10. Authorization
Client agrees to order the work as described in this agreement and agrees to pay the total of the fees for the services ordered.
If a payment plan has been entered into, client authorizes the COMPANY to charge the credit card account on file for services indicated and this transaction shall be fully binding whether processed through the online shopping cart, by phone, or the COMPANY’s current payment processor (i.e. Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
Client further declares that he/she has read, understands, and accepts the terms and conditions in this agreement.
Any and all edits to this agreement is at the discretion of the Company. Recommendations can be submitted to [email protected] using subject line "Terms & Conditions".

If you need your project before our normal 14-21 business day time frame, we will consult our writing schedule to determine if we have capacity.
If we do, we charge a 25% (non-negotiable) rush fee to your project final total. Just let us know this is a preference and we take it from there.
At iRock, we believe in fairness and transparency. Our pricing system is designed to align with the principle of equitable compensation for all. Here’s why:
• FAIR COMPENSATION: Just like you, we want to be fairly compensated for our services. By linking our fees to your desired salary, we ensure that your investment is proportional to the value we provide.
• CUSTOMIZATION: Everyone’s career trajectory is unique. A flat rate pricing model might not account for individual circumstances. By tailoring our fees to you and your project, we are able create a customized approach that fits your specific needs.
• AVOIDING DISPARITIES: Charging the same fixed fee across the board could create disparities. It wouldn’t be fair to charge an entry-level professional the same as a senior leader or a C-suite executive.
Our system ensures that fees reflect your position, experience, and salary goal.
How does the pricing system work?
• When you engage our services, we discuss your career goals, industry, and desired salary range.
• Based on this information, we calculate a percentage (between 2% and 10% based on services/package and complexity of the project) of your target salary. We reserve the right to use the median or higher salary found on salary.com.
• This percentage becomes our fee for assisting you in achieving your career objectives including targeted salary.
Is this system more expensive?
Not necessarily. In fact, it often results in a more cost-effective solution for all levels of job seekers and career professionals.
Here’s why:
• AFFORDABILITY: For entry-level professionals or those with lower salaries, the percentage-based fee is reasonable and accessible.
• VALUE PROPOSITION: As your salary increases, our fee also grows proportionally. This ensures that our services remain valuable regardless of your career stage.
For example, if the target salary is $250K, and the VIP package is what you want, we would then charge $20,000 due to all the considerations mentioned above. The VIP package is the top package and most labor intensive and offers the most coaching.
In this example, we get a one time 8% and you get 92% not just today, but every year after plus salary increases. This is a WIN-WIN for the both of us!
We are not tax experts and recommend you speak to your tax advisor. However, upon our research, we did find an article called "Looking for a New Job? You May be Able to Deduct Costs on Your Tax Return" that may be helpful.

If you are not in a hurry for your services, our payment plan is for you. Each invoice is set up in four (4) equal payments. Payments are automatically charged / deducted on a bi-weekly basis.
Note that work will begin once final payment has been received. In the interim, you will get access to your client portal to begin the process of providing items needed to complete your project.
That way we can get to work once final payment has been received. We will deliver rough drafts 14 business days after your final payment has been received.

After we complete the Quality & Assurance session, where we review the edited rough drafts documents virtually to catch and make any last needed edits while on the call, we will deliver the final copies. Once we deliver the final copies, you will have an additional three business days to submit any final edits. On the fourth day, the documents will become final and a minimal charge will be required to make any changes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Each iRock Résumés project quote is based on the scope we define together upfront. That includes the time, strategy, deliverables, and the level of career branding work required to meet your goals.
However, if the project extends beyond what was originally agreed (whether that’s extra revisions, additional calls, or extended consultation time) that’s considered scope creep.
When that happens, there will be a $500 per hour fee automatically charged to the payment method we have on file. Don't worry, you’ll always receive a courtesy notification before any additional time is billed.
